I’ve been digging deep for a long time, but especially over these last few months. ⠀
My soul craves showing up fully and authentically. I want to show up in my strengths and who God created me to be. ⠀
We look at our weaknesses as “flaws” by focusing our energy in that space instead of our God-given strengths where we can really shine. It’s in this space where we can show up to serve those God has intended for us to help.
It takes work to shed off the expectations the world puts on you. However, when you get to a place where those things don’t matter, this is when you get to the core of who you are. ⠀
People will judge you. ⠀
People will disagree with you.
Some may even “unfriend” you, and that’s okay. It’s better to have a supportive network around you that loves you even if they don’t always agree with you. And a beautiful thing happens when you start showing up authentically…
…you will find those that resonate with you because you are showing up in authenticity. Find your vibe, find your tribe. 🙂 ⠀
Enough with the people pleasing because it’s an impossible task. ⠀
Have courage to be bold in sharing God’s truths. Dare to use your voice – God gave it to you for a purpose!
You have to get to a place where you are okay that others don’t agree with you. One thing that I expect is kindness. Kindness is one of my values and no matter how unkind someone is to me I will not cower to unkindness.
More than ever I find it essential to create healthy boundaries. I read that clear boundaries are Christlike. Christ is central to who I am and it’s His example I strive to follow, and I know I fall short of that daily. I strive to follow His example to be tolerant and forgiving, and I will use my voice to stand up for the truth, as He set that example so perfectly. He’s the most authentic and kind example to look to!
Some great scripture references for using our voice in a kind and effective way are found in James 3 verses 2-6 and 8-10.
Here it says:
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
And continues with verses 8-10:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Show God and Christ that They are number one and everything will eventually fall into place. Be patient and Trust in His plan.
Happy Sunday to you all!
xoxo,
Tammy ♥️
