Gratitude isn’t just reserved for the month of November, right?!!! Gratitude is a state of mind. Gratitude is a state of being. Living in gratitude is living your best life.

So, I want you to ask yourself this question: what is the net value of gratitude? This list could as long as the day is long – and let’s be honest here, there’s only an upside to gratitude. It richly blesses your life.

Gratitude stems from our thoughts about things. Our brains are our greatest asset – it’s our real estate. How are we investing in our mind? What are we allowing ourselves to think about? The scriptures are replete with reminders of things we should think about. Philippians 4:8 has some great reminders.

A great way to begin each day, before your feet even hit the ground, is to reflect on at least 3 things you are grateful for. This instantly shifts your mind to a state of gratitude and shifts your energy. It’s a simple and powerful way to start out your day.

I talk about this all of the time – our feelings/emotions are the drivers in our life. Our feelings drive everything we do or don’t do (inaction). When we feel grateful we show up in a beautiful and productive way. It’s an amazing way to live your life. I know for myself that a life of pure joy is rooted and anchored in GRATITUDE. No matter our circumstances, we can be grateful.

Because here’s the truth and it’s just summed up so well by one of my spiritual leaders, he said: “The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.” Let me repeat that again…

THE JOY WE FEEL HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF OUR LIVES AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE FOCUS OF OUR LIVES!

When we think a grateful thought, we feel grateful. When we feel grateful we take beautiful action in our life. The results? A more joy-filled and fulfilled life! Weaving gratitude in your life helps you to see all the beautiful details – and God is in the details of our life. When we weave gratitude into our lives we create a net of gratitude that can hold us up no matter the circumstances in our life!

Tammy

This is a beautiful reminder to me to be grateful. The chaos of everyday can be overwhelming. And it is the people I have chosen to be close to that bring me the most joy. I am so thankful for you!! And for the outpouring of love & guidance that you share with me.
